The 2011 Team

Tony Re and Andrew Wise are the lucky teammates who get to lace up their boots in this 2011 version of Oxfam TrailWalker.

They're going to be joined by the team's newest mates - Ian McFarlane and Deborah Dalziel.  Both Ian and Deborah are made keen sportspeople so there's no question on their aerobic fitness.  Will the night get to them?  Time will tell.

Meanwhile Fred Wright and Tony Phillips take the easier 'elder statesmen' roles of the team.  That's right they tell us exactly how we should be training.    To be honest,  Fred still trains with the team and without his skills as the ringmaster who herds us into shape who knows what we could achieve.

Following our wonderful 27hrs in 2010, we have again put in place a rigorous plan to ensure a very high performance walk this year to match the pace set last year.  (We had to make allowances for the girl - Ian!)

Our dream is to complete it in 24hours, but suspect a 30 hour target is more likely as we are all a bit older this year!
